Description
Walking along the street in St Augustine in the drizzle I spotted this french bakery with the sign for wedding cakes. A young woman with a white umbrella walking up the street approaching the shop. The phrase "rain on your wedding day came to mind. In some cultures is seen as good luck symbolizing cleansing. Of course, it can also be seen as bad luck raining on your parade. The captured street scene here has a woman in the act of leaving a bake shop. The signage on the bake shop advertises wedding cakes. The unfolding scene captured here is one of cleansing as the woman takes her leave from a relationship (marriage as symbolized by the signage on the bake shop). The title is also a nod to the book titled The End of the Affair by Graham Greene.
